I'm Lichen It!

What do you get when you mix fungus and algae together forming an orange fuzz resembling tiny candied kumquats? Apparently, you get me. Or at least my name. I read yesterday that a recently discovered species of lichen was named after me: Caloplaca obamae, or C. obamae.

But that's not all. You can now buy a Chia Obama. Just add water and watch my green hair grow. Let's hope it doesn't come all covered with that new Obama lichen.

If all this talk of fungus makes you hungry, you can order a box of Obama O's breakfast cereal. Be sure to first wash your hands with the Obama Bar - The Audacity of Soap. (really, I'm not making this up!).

I have to admit though, there is one product that I might actually consider buying: Bo the Beanie Baby. He's even cuter than the original and doesn't try to eat your shoes.

Note to Ty Inc. - please don't even think about making a "Barack the Beanie Baby". The Chia Obama is about as much "honor" as I can stand.
