No Longer Lost in Space!

President Obama greets the Robinsons who are no longer Lost in Space
Yesterday, at approximately 9:37 AM EST, the astronauts at the International Space Station made contact with the long-lost Robinson Family on board the Jupiter II.

Many years ago, the Robinson family blasted into space on the Jupiter II. Their goal:  to colonize a distant planet in the Alpha Centauri star system four light years from Earth.

Soon after lift-off, all contact with the Jupiter II was lost and they were never heard from again. In a miraculous turn of events, the Jupiter II crossed into the orbit of the International Space Station and radio contact was reestablished.

Over the past 24 hours, the mysterious circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the Jupiter II have come to light. Apparently, the Jupiter II's malfunction was caused by Dr. Zachary Smith, a foreign spy who attempted to sabotage the mission. Dr. Smith was accidentally trapped on board the spacecraft and his extra weight caused the Jupiter II to go off course.

I had the honor today of speaking with the Robinsons in a satellite hookup relayed through the International Space Station into the Jupiter II. I spoke with the commander Dr. John Robinson, his lovely wife Maureen, daughters Judy and Penny and young son Will Robinson. The Jupiter II's pilot Major Don West was also present.

The Robot could be heard in the background exclaiming "Warning Warning!" while the soon-to-be-arrested Dr. Smith was proclaiming "oh the pain...the pain!".

The Jupiter II is scheduled to dock with the International Space Station some time tomorrow and plans are being made to finally return the Robinson Family back to Earth.

I am honored to have been part of this historic event.

Nope, this is not the official website of The White House. It's a parody of whitehouse.gov.  No person, department, or agency of the U.S. Government approved, endorsed, or authorized this site. No animals were harmed while making this website (except maybe that one time when I was a little late feeding my dog his dinner).
