Joe's Turn
President Obama: My VP Joe Biden has been wanting to write a post on my blog for some time now. I think
it's a terrific chance for him to speak directly to the American people. Take it away Joe.
VP Joe Biden: I'd like to talk frankly about some foreign
policy challenges we are currently facing (as if we don't have enough problems already in our own country!)
What's the deal with North Korea? Clearly that Kim Jong-il is off his rocker. All this talk
about weaponizing plutonium. He had better not forget that
our missiles actually work! He's
appointed his youngest son his successor. Let's hope that the acorn falls far from the tree
in that family...
Then there's the recent election (ha! if you can call it that..) in Iran. The President
told me he was really hoping that Mir Hossein Mousavi would win. Now we're stuck having to
deal with that nutcase Ahmadinejad.
And Dick Cheney - when is he going to shut up already? The last thing this country
needs is a VP (or rather a former VP) running off at the mouth!
Hey, this blogging is fun. Maybe the President will let me write posts more often. I
suppose that is about as likely as me riding coach in a crowded airplane during this flu
pandemic, huh?
