Mechanical Engineer

This individual will have direct responsibility and oversight for the mechanical systems, to include chiller plants, cooling distribution, cooling towers, water treatment, air handler units, generator plants, and fuel distribution systems.

. Collects and analyzes operating data and vender supplied reports, reviews/develops required reports for submittal to customer, ensures equipment operates within design parameters to achieve maximum efficiency.
. Performs the duties of Contract Administrators Representative (CAR) for the mechanical systems subcontracts (i.e. Water Treatment, Chiller Maintenance.)
. Optimize temperature reset strategies and air handler economizer settings to reduce water usage.
. Monitors equipment run time data to ensure equal run times on all equipment to maintain equipment reliability, reduce operating costs, and provide assurance that equipment will operate when demand requires it.
. Research and analyze data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application. Design products or systems in support of facilities' infrastructure, research or maintenance requirements.
. Coordinate, troubleshoot and approve installation activities as inspection services to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and specifications.

Network Engineer

High Voltage Electrician

Work involves most of the following: installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment; working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications; locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment; working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment; and using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments. Requires comprehensive trade knowledge of electrical principles and system operations, experience with Main Tie Tie Main distribution gear is preferred.

. Installs, modifies, repairs, maintains, troubleshoots loads and tests new and installed equipment including secondary distribution lines and circuits used to supply distribution panels, switch gear, motor control centers, power and control circuits, lightning protection systems and grounding systems.
. Testing of all equipment including, but not limited to: AC and DC insulation testing, High Current Low Resistance Testing, high current trip testing, transformer ratio testing, dissolved gas in oil sampling, oil quality testing, contact/connection resistance testing, circuit breaker motion analysis, SF6 gas moisture testing, SF6 Corrosive Sulfur Testing, battery and strap impedance, specific gravity testing, electronic control testing and DOBLE power factor testing and excitation.
. Working from building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and determines the routing placement, type, size, gauge, balance load, continuity, and safe operation of electrical lines, circuits, systems, equipment, and controls.
. Skilled in installing underground cable and conduit, running overhead wire and conduit to attach cross arms making electrical connection by splicing and/or other methods.
. Ability to install street lighting circuits, lamps, and related hardware.
. Determines size, type and gauge of wiring coupling, conduits, relays, etc., effects necessary repairs and modifications.
. Must know and apply the principles, materials, and safety standards applicable to the electrical trade: including interpretation of plans, blueprints and engineering designs: use of tools and test equipment and ability to plan and competently accomplish assigned duties.

Mechanical Technician

These individuals will have responsibility and oversight of the facility Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and shall perform periodic Predictive Maintenance (PdM) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) services (e.g., Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Annual) for all HVAC systems.

. Performs PM and PdM services on large scale cooling tower systems (e.g. Check and adjust belt tension; lubricate fan shaft bearings, motor base adjusting screw, and gear drive; Inspect general condition of the tower and check unit for unusual noise or vibration; Clean cold and hot water basins/Spray nozzles; Inspect air inlet louvers/combined inlet shields)
. Performs PM and PdM services and supports vendor related maintenance activities for large scale water cooled centrifugal chillers (e.g. Record operating condition; Check oil and refrigerant levels; Perform vibration testing.)
. Perform PM and PdM services on building air handler units, Computer Room Air Conditioners (CRAC), Blower Coil Units, etc. (e.g. Replace Filters Quarterly; Clean the unit, coils, and condensate pump; Verify condensate pan safety switch operates freely; Coils Clean and Clear of Obstructions.)
. Performs PM and PdM services on stand-alone DX cooling systems.
. Check heavy-duty HVAC systems equipment for proper performance, inspection of systems on equipment to detect unusual wear, faults and or malfunctions.
. Diagnose problems using appropriate tools and instruments to determine extent of repair required to return system to OEM functionality.

Controls Engineer/Electrical Systems Operator

This individual will operate and maintain the Data Center's Electrical Systems providing oversight and incorporating SCADA and EMCS control system changes. This position requires both control room and outside operator responsibilities. The ESO will be required to perform equipment inspection rounds, record operating data, and support minor maintenance activities if required. This will be a rotating shift position that will be challenged to implement and function test necessary system controls, monitoring and data acquisition changes. These changes will include SCADA/EMCS system changes driven by; expansion, and construction of complex electrical systems including redundant UPS systems, stand-by and emergency generation as well as building and facilities mechanical systems (HVAC), installation of chilled water and hot water generation and distribution systems. This position requires an intimate knowledge of SCADA/Control systems, critical systems design as well as a solid working knowledge of Real Time Data Acquisition, Data Base operation and design.

. Coordinates the controls, SCADA and EMCS engineering with the Operations, Maintenance, Electrical and Mechanical groups.
. Design and development of automation systems unassisted or within a team.
. Modifies and maintains automation systems.
. Tests, troubleshoots and provides solutions to technical problems with minimal assistance.
. Writes computer software and programs as necessary.
. Leads project design, installation, commissioning, project closure and inspections/reporting.

. Identifying and evaluating the complexity and criticality of inappropriate processes or malfunctioning processes and taking steps necessary to correct such processes. Steps may include making adjustments via the EMCS, notifying the FCC Watch Officer of problems, or immediately stopping the processing to ensure no harm or accident results as an effect of the malfunction.
. Performing daily systems inspections to ensure optimal cooling efficiency is achieved.
. Performing a combination of duties to control site processes and events including emergency situations
. Controlling site activities to include responding to alarms and site emergencies. Maintaining responsibility for determining area of alarm, notifying personnel and instructing them to evaluate situation, notifying the Fire Department, etc. of such emergencies. Assists leads and managers in maintaining accountability for employees and actions during emergency situations.
. Receiving all incoming reports (radio, phone, fax, etc.) and notifying site personnel of activities via the P.A. announcement system.
. Perform daily activities and compile data relating to operational activities and reports to include daily operator rounds sheets, fire alarms status, environmental inspections, and EMCS generated alarm/data
. Monitoring/inspecting instruments and systems readings, making minor calibration adjustments as required ensuring that the system is functioning within established policy and procedural parameters.
.Maintaining responsibility for identifying and evaluating any discrepancies in readings. Is also responsible for bringing inconsistencies to the attention of the FCC Watch Officer.
. Performing the isolation and lockout/tagout of equipment for maintenance work as per lockout/tagout procedures and training.
. Ensures that the site is operating in an environmentally sound manner with strict adherence to all permit requirements.

Facilities Control Center Watch Officer

Plan and manage operations, maintenance and all other activities for assigned shift at a 24-hour data center facility to ensure safe, compliant, and productive operations. Develop, interpret and ensure compliance with established procedures for facility operations and activities.

.Planning and directing operations activities, to include establishing operations and maintenance priorities in a safe and compliant manner, and making specific job assignments for operations, maintenance and other personnel during assigned shift.
. Responding to, reviewing, and analyzing quality control, maintenance, and facility issues, including, but not limited to, human resources, safety, equipment malfunctions, and compliance.
. Managing assigned shift personnel to ensure the facility is operating in compliance with customer and company policies and operating procedures.

. Meeting operations and maintenance schedules, and recommending revision of schedules as a result of equipment failure or operating problems. Consults with other personnel relative to modification of equipment in order to meet schedules.
. Reporting actual operations and maintenance results and comparing them to the prescribed schedule.
. Sets managerial direction and is accountable for assigned shift results and activities relating to operations and maintenance including scheduling and quality of services. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
. Advising and providing input and feedback to shift employees on matters pertaining to specific objectives, individual tasks and duties, and performance requirements to help meet established schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.

Fuel Distribution Operator

These individuals will have responsibility and oversight of the fuel oil receiving, storage, and distribution system. In addition the individual will have responsibilities for general facility maintenance, provide support with Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, and shall perform periodic Predictive Maintenance (PdM) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) services (e.g., Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Annual) for all systems. This position will functionally report to the Mechanical Manager.

. Receiving/dispatching diesel fuel via pipelines and trucks; sampling and testing products for quality control and performing inspections and basic maintenance on facilities, fuel systems.
. Supporting Quality Control Technicians; performing routine and periodic inspections in compliance with company, customer, government and industry standards
. Transferring product and monitoring storage tanks, pipelines, and related equipment to ensure good working order.
. Conducting all work in a safe fashion; making required log entries of fuel transactions, quality control, and maintenance. In addition to the duties listed above:
. Performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled plumbing, carpentry, painting and electrical activities associated with the maintenance and repair of facilities.
. Works directly with the Master Plumber to install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems and a variety of plumbing fixtures such as faucets, sinks, toilets and water heaters.
. Performs carpentry on buildings; makes repairs to tile and carpet as necessary; makes repairs on doors, windows, floors, gates, roofs, and ceilings; repairs, installs, and constructs furniture, shelves, cabinets, countertops, and other wood equipment and fixtures.
. Paints facilities and equipment; prepares surfaces for painting; applies paint to building interiors, fixtures, equipment or exterior; strip, paint or stain cabinets, doors, and woodwork.
. Works directly with the Master Electrician performing a variety electrical repair and maintenance tasks involving facilities; repairs, replaces, and maintains electrical wiring, fuses, switches, motors, generators, lighting systems, and other electrical fixtures and equipment; installs conduits, wires, pull boxes, and switches required in making additions, extensions, or alterations in electrical systems; identifies damaged or worn electrical components and takes corrective action as assigned.

Master Plumber


. Performs duties to ensure all applicable procedures, policies, specifications and safe work practices are adequately understood and followed, and to ensure all the maintenance activities for assigned shift are in compliance.
